Ok last week I posted a topic asking people where they would go to look for a dress for their eparty. I got really good suggestions, nordstrom, bluefly, estelles, etc...So I went to all of these places, and I ordered a dress from Nordstom that I liked. But here is the problem I still havent found a dress that I love. I feel like I have been everywhere. I went to all of the big dept stores, estelles, small boutique shops, and davids bridal!!! I really dont know what to do!!! or where to go! PLEASE HELP ME!!

How long do you have to keep looking? Perhaps you just need to relax about that particular issue for a little bit and something will come in with some time. Also- have you thought about not a dress but a top and skirt combo instead? Sometimes that is even more flattering/unique! And you so many more options with this route. If that is not for you, did you try upscale consignment/thrift stores? Or you could have a dress made/make it yourself. You would be surprised how little a dress could cost to make.

I know you want to look great...and you will, but try not to stress to much. If you like the dress and it looks/fits good relax. Maybe if your hair and makeup are done you'll like the dress more. Can you post a pick so we can see?

I was just in White House/Black Market yesterday and they have gorgeous dresses that I was thinking would be perfect for an e-party.

don't know how fancy your e-party will be, but getting a dress made seems like it might be too much too quickly at this point. you are going to look beautiful no matter what, so try not to stress too much over this. it's not like it's your wedding dress. but, if you are really unhappy with what you've seen so far, keep looking, but I'm not sure you need to have 'it's the ONE' moment for this. jmo. good luck!

you found a dres you like... i would leave it for awhile. dont' stress... if you fdind something you like better later, fine. if not, i think it's fine. it's only an engagement party... i would understand your stress if this was your wedding dress. i would realx, JMO.

honestly, i went to many department stores too recently for my shower dress and thats for something more simple and i couldnt find anything at all, i saw one i sort of liked. I guess it depends when you go too and when they get new things.
For my e-party dress i went to a few department stores first too before i went to OZ boutique to buy it. I was stupid for not going there first bc i bought dresses there before and always found something right away

i can suggest 2 stores for you that always have gorgeous things. Dont know where you live though so not sure if you are willing to go to forest hills. One is chez moi and the other is Oz boutique.
Both stores carry ALOT of jovani dresses, other designers too but jovani has a site so this way you can see what alot of the dresses look like, plus anything you see on the jovani site they can order it for you if they dont have it in the store

I buy soooo many dresses from White House Black Market. They are all affordable too.
I was also in the dress department on Bloomingdales in Manhattan a few weeks ago and they have TONS of stuff, all price ranges. I got a bagdley mischka for under $100!

I know how you feel I am SO picky when it comes to dresses. Do you know of any good boutiques? Sometimes you can find better dresses there than at a department store. Or try the Jessica McClintock website-- those dresses are REALLY cute!

yeah my mom bought her dress at OZ and there was one that she liked on the site but they didnt have it in the store and unless she knew how it fit she didnt want to order it but they said they would. She ended seeing another dress in there that she loved
