Do you think it is worth it to hire a photographer for the RD??
This was a recent thought I had... and I really like the idea of a photojournalistc approach to capturing the excitment of the night before the wedding..
I am researching- and basically will spend from 200 to 275 to have a digital shooter who will provide me with a disc to share and print at my leisure..
Do you think I should save the money and do something else?? I have a lot od *extras* that are starting to add up...

ETA - If you can afford it, then go for it.

I think its a pretty cool idea, capturing the RD. I'd do it if i had extra $, and the price you were quoted sounds reasonable.

We had a professional photographer at our e-party, and Im definately glad we did. But our RD is going be to casual so we wont have one. If your RD is going to be formal I'd hire one esp since those prices seem reasonable, otherwise I dont think its worth it.

I say go for it - It's like a 'casual day' shoot of all your guests prior to the big dress-ip day.

That is a really great idea! If you have a digital camera maybe someone in the rehearsal dinner can do it, or make a small scavenger hunt for the RD or put table camera's on there too and let them catch the moments if you dont have the extra $$. But those prices you were quoted are pretty good. I dont think its a waste of money at all- these are the moments right up to the big day- its def worth it!

I wouldn't spend the money on that...I would definitely put it towards something else IMO.

I don't think it's a 'waste' of money at all ! If you have it, then I say go for it. - I wouldn't skimp on something else do it, but if you have the extra $$ then I think it's nice.
