if I put my invites in the blue mailboxes in front of the post office? I heard one of my shower invites got lost in the mail and I dont want this happening to my wedding invites.
ETA: the've already been weighed for postage and they are a normal sized envelope so i dont think they need to be hand cancelled.

I'd bring them in to the post office either way. I just feel more at ease knowing they got to where they have to get. It only takes a few mins if you go at an off-hour.

if you have time to bring them in, i would, but i don't think it gets lost in the mail from the blue boxes, so either way would be ok

I dont think you will have a problem. If you're going to the post office anyway just drop them in, in the mailbox inside the post office. Then you really will have nothing to worry about.

I think I would bring them to the post office. I never trust those blue post office boxes ever since one of them was put on fire in my home town like 10 years ago.
