go apply for our marriage license on Valentine's Day? Is the whole world going to be there doing the same thing and we are going to have to wait in line for 3 hours?
We went to the one in the Bronx... we got to the court house at 8:30am... waited in line for the courts to open (that was the only line we waited in), and by 9:10am... we had our license. So my advise to you is to go early...
Are you doing it b/c its Valentine's day or some other more practical reason? I wouldn't do it, just b/c of the lines, but if V-day has some sort of a special meaning to you, I don't see why not.
We did ours at City Hall in Manhattan. Doors open at 9:00. We got there at 8:45 and we were like the 5th or 6th people on line. We were done in 20 mins!! so especially since it's Valentine's Day - I would go early!! good luck
We went to the one in Manhasset and we did it in less than 15 minutes.

We went to the office in Patchogue when they first opened. We were in and out. It seems best to get there early am.
I think it's a sweet idea but I would go to a town hall out on the island. We went somewhere in suffolk and it took about 15 minutes. You will probaby have to wait longer then that b/c it's St. Valentines day.
