A friend of mine just bought a condo. She said its a studio size. She registered at Target(she's not married or engaged or dating anyone) She's going to have a house warming party. Do you think its odd that she registered for a house warming party.

A girl at my office did that..I think that Sex and the City episode where Carrie registered for a pair of Manolo's threw the entire registering scene out of the water....

I know I usually bring a housewarming gift for someone, and I guess she registered so she can actually get things she might need

Re: Do you think its odd?
my other opinion on this though:
did she put registry cards in with the invite?
i didnt even do that for e-party and am not doing it for anything else either. it is rude to tell people WHERE they can get you a gift, and assume that they SHOULD just b/c you moved. if she leaves it though as- if people ask her what she wants, she tells them that she's registered,, then i think that'd fine.

she told me about target. when we sent out the invites for our engagement party, we didn't say where we were registered. people asked my parents or his parents, that's how we got stuff from our registry
