Do you tink it's possible to change the back of my dress? Now, Understand that it's actually 3 separate pieces. I do love my dress, but I also love the way a corset back looks on a wedding dress...

I need HONESTY here from you girls, looking at the pictures of my dress...do you think it's possible?

i think you need to bring the gown to an excellent tailor/seamstress who can truly answer that question!

i think the back looks great as is. but make sure you find someone who knows what their doing if you want to do that!

definitely. a good seamstress can do practically ANYTHING!

i agree with pp plus corset is just a series of loops. so if they remove the zipper and then stitch back where the zipper was they should have no prob adding the loops. good luck.

I honestly wouldn't go to anything less than the best seamstress around. You don't want to screw up a dress, but that idea you described sounds beautiful. I think it would look awesome on that dress. Just be careful! I worry about alterations!

Is the dress already being made? If you just ordered it, could the designer do it for you? If not, I agree with the girls...be careful who you choose to go to! Good luck!

Re: Do you think it's possible?

I was thinking about trying to do the same thing with my dress also....I love corsets....

I think it could def. work with your dress....but would you be keeping the straps?? I feel like a corset would change the dip of the back of the dress... JMO....

I think it could definitely be do-able.....but I would fine a VERY reputible (sp) seamstress...

GOOD LUCK

Try Phylis from Bridal Elegance. I am getting my dress from her. I hear nothing but excellent things about her. And she may even be a little less expensive. Remember, less expensive does not mean cheap.
