Do you think its rude when you don't get a thank you card??

My cousin and his wife got married last April and we never got a thank you and neither did my mom or my brother..we also never got a thank you for the gift we gave them for their 'Jack and Jill' shower!!! I just think its rude!!! And we were all so generous too. I know they have up until a year but I am not expecting to see one now!!!

I think that is a little rude! Unfortunatly not everyone is thankful.

Yes I think it is totally rude. Indeed everyone is busy in life but people should still take time out to send out thank you cards. I know I do.

I am very good at sending thank you's so i think it is rude when people dont send them to me...i know it takes some longer than others though

I think this is very rude! Some people get so wrapped up in themseveles.

Yes I think that is rude. It's like they didn't even take into consideration your gift or your presence at their party. That's how I look at it. But some people don't care.

I went to a wedding in July and never got a thank you. I think it is a little rude.....but what bothers me is the thought that the gift got lost and she thinks that we didn't bring one.

My mother isn't bothered by it..what really pisses me off is that I scraped together money to give them a gift since I wasn't working...I basically gave them all the money I had at the time

FH and I also went to a wedding last April and received no thank you from the bride and groom. I think it is really inconsiderate. If we took the time to come to your wedding.. give you a gift.. you can atleast say 'thanks!' in a card. JMO though...

yes, its rude. and it doesn't matter who paid for the wedding. the bride and groom should always send their guests thank you cards.

Very rude-
I am a big believer in thank you's...no matter how busy you are or whatever, it only takes a moment and even if you have a ton to do, you can do a few a night...

I once read somewhere that Princess Diana used to end each day by writing a few thank you notes- even if it was just to someone who made her laugh!! I thought that was so nice.

TOTALLY! My cousin got married in July 03 and we never got a thank you. None of us did. my mom asked his mom about it and she was kind of rude and got pissed that my mom asked....I still think they should ahve sent one. people really do wait for it!

I think it is extremely rude not to send thank you's. Even worse, a bunch of my friends and I were invited to a friend's sisters wedding (we weren't that good of friends with her but were with the rest of her family) and we didn't get thank you notes but then we were at her sister in law's house and saw that they had gotten a thank you. That made it even worse!

I think that is rude you took time out to go they could have taken 3 mins to write and address a thank you ......

Rude!!!!! We couldn't go to DH's cousin's second wedding so we sent a gift. A very nice $$$$ gift. That was last May. I saw his parents recently and they thanked us but jeez, you are adults and this is the second time around for you and you could have sent a thank you!

Come to think of it, I don't recall a thank you on the first wedding either.

A little rude. Maybe it wasn't intentional. Maybe it got lost in the mail?
