Would be more motivated to work out if there FH/DH pushed them to? I think when alot of people settle down they stop worrying what they look like.....
Also if DH/FH doesn't mind the sexy clothing why not work out hard to show it off.. RIGHT?
Working out together brings you closer together and is very sexual in my opinion Shows you care about your body when its NAKED!

Re: Do you think more women?
I dropped 30 lbs when I started dating FH from nothing more than knowing how athletic he was and trying to keep up! But I can't work out with him at the gym. But it does help when he's there at home when I do it...it does make me try harder.

Re: Do you think more women?
Motivation is definetly key. Some people are just lazy and no amount of motivation is going to help.
He11, I'm still riding on the fact that I was a classical ballet dancer for 16 years. I figure I have two more years of that ride before I *have* to start working out again. No seriously, I just signed up for Pilates classes - I want the tone & stretch, no bulk - my frame is too tiny for bulk.

Re: Do you think more women?
I think I would be offended if my FH pushed me to work out for aesthetic reasons. He loves me for who I am, regardless of if I put on a few pounds or not. Of course he wants me to be healthy, so he definitely recommends that I work out once in a while (which I do). He is obsessive about exercise and very involved in triathlons and will be running the NYC marathon this year, but seeing him work out all the time doesn't mean I'm going to! As long as I am happy and comfortable with myself, and my FH is too, that's all that matters!

My FI works out every day...literally. He also eats right and takes good care of himself.
I WISH I had his routine!

Mike and I run together on the boardwalk every morning. He also trains me. Before we even lived together I would meet him at the gym and he would work my a55 off! I think it's so much fun working out with him. He pushes me to reach the point I want too. Then we go home and compare who's stomach is harder..lol, I will never have his 6-pack!

Re: Do you think more women?
If my DH pushed me to work out I'd tell him to mind his own f***'n business. Anymore than I push HIM to work out... It's just all about being healthy with us- the BEST we can do with what we have.
What he married is in my mind in my heart.. I'm not saying be unhealthy- but god forbid something happened to me and I couldn't stay fit- would he leave me? NO!

Re: Do you think more women?
Not everyones top priority is looking hot naked. Nothing wrong with it if you have the time and motivation, but its certainly not on my priority list.
As long as both partners are attractive and healthy - that is what is important. I would rather have my husband home with me than be at the gym and have a great body.
By the way: Luke deleted your message so I need your # again to call you. Sorry. Can you email me/FM me your telephone #?

Colleen- I do Pilates, it is the best class ever! It has stretched my muscles out so much. I am 10x more flexible than I used to be.

Re: Do you think more women?
Not me!! Dh is a huge gym nut. He has tried so hard to get me motivated to work out and it doesn't help - I get so bored at the gym. I have tried several times. He doesn't to it to tell me to lose weight or anything - he just enjoys it and wishes I did. His motivation impresses me but it just isn't for. Luckily, my genetics is holding out for me and I hope will continue. (I could be more toned but hey - by not lifting a weight I guess that can't happen!) He has made me more conscious of what I eat and being more healthy though. (Although, I was much skinnier before I met him - but that is all age!)
Also, I don't like invading his space at his gym - I believe in some independence ina relationship and this is his. Even if I enjoyed the gym, I would not want to go to the same on or at the same time as him.

Re: Do you think more women?
JT can be soooooo lazy, and I have ben trying to get him to work out with me (not that I NEED him there, but I agree there is something nice about doing it together), but he just does not have the motivation or want to do it. It doesn't really matter now because we will be living in separate states for a few months, but this is giving me MORE motivation to get in shape so that when he sees me he'll say WOW and maybe join with me. Also, it's so easy to let myself become unmotivated when he's around because of course I much rather spend time with him than go to the gym, but I need to go anyway. But he's got the type of body that he never gains a lb. Not that he couldn't use a little toning up!

T - I totally agree, I find I am falling into a lazy pattern. DH doesn't work out and I know I should, and if we both did, I'd def do more

We work out together..but unfortunatley its more that we go to the gym at the same time..but he does his things and I do mine..we just wink and smile alot..but I agree there is something sexual about it. I like seeing him lift!

Re: Do you think more women?
What about them just having the motivation to doing it for themselves. You are the one that reap the rewards. Why do it for anyone else but for your own health. It makes you feel so good and your self image shoots up a 1000% I think too many women find way too many excuses as to why they cannot exercise.

Re: Do you think more women?
My FI always says I'm way tooooo hard on myself, and he wishes I wasn't so strict about eating right and exercise.
He likes how I look, but when I wasn't in this shape, he loved how I looked then.
For some people, if FI's push about that stuff, it may have to opposite effect and get that person depressed and not want to eat right and workout.
That's a tough question T!

Re: Do you think more women?
very nicely said shamma - I was just coming back to this thread to add something similar to my response. I think that woman should do it for themselves not because they are pushed by someone. Woman should exercise to feel better about themselves and for health reasons. I think if working out with your hubby or doing it together makes you more motivated that is great but I don't think you should be pushed into something (usless it is for your own safety of course) - I think someone pushing you to lose weight and exercise and be more sexy can be more damaging to self esteem.

Re: Do you think more women?
Brian loved me thin, and for some reason, he proposed when I got fat... I am back to trying to look good beacuse I felt tired and unhealthy. Brian is athletic, but he would rather curl up on the couch with me to watch a movie, than go for a walk in this heat.
