Do you think this is bad if....

People get wedding invitations before bridal shower invites? Has this ever happened before?

I don't think it's bad.

But, I remember when DH's cousin got married, the shower invites came the same week as the wedding invites. DH's aunts commented about it...(in a negative way)

I have never received a wedding invite before the shower invite. I don't think it's wrong though.

You’re getting married 2 days before me. when are you planning to send out your wedding invites?

I am planning on sending my invites out say mid August because my RSVP date is Sep 23rd. How long do you usually leave between when invites are sent out and the RSVP date?

my RSVP date is 10/1. I'm probably going to send them out the week of 8/22.

hmmm.

I mailed my invites on March 27 (which was the day before my shower)

My RSVP was May 1 and my wedding was May 30

I wanted to do October 1st as well, but my wedding coordinator insisted that I do the 23rd and invites are already in my possession. I was thinking my MOM can send out the invites ASAP!

I don't think so -- Technically Bridal Showers are usually a surprise.

I don't think it's bad. I had my sister's shower 4 weeks before her wedding. Thinking about it now, the invites for both events probably ending up being mailed at about the same time. It won't even matter after all is said and done. good luck!

How could anyone hold it against you if the wedding invites go out before the shower invites? Technically you shouldn't know anything about the shower at all, so I don't think it would be a problem. If people start making comments about something so trivial, then they obviously have too much time on their hands.
