Ok my BP was in alot of weddings recently and we all have like 3 different dresses from all the weddings so I decided to reuse the BM dresses rom fsil wedding b/c its all the same people and i feel bad making them buy a different dress since they are expensive but sometimes i want to pick out my own (im i making sense?)I was going to give the dress i wore to my sister and have my moh pick something out anyway im confused and i propably just confused you
Anyway should i or shouldnt i reuse the dresses oh also i already told them they are going to reuse them good lord someone help me
The first one is the one i have the second one is what i also like
My opinion: NEVER SETTLE! You will end up regretting it.
This is YOUR day, not a repeat of someone else's. In the end, you need to be happy with every decision you make.
I personally would pick my own dress for my BM.

I THINK I understand what you are saying! I think if you talk it over with your BP and they're all cool with it, then it's a great idea. Maybe you can even bring it to a tailor or dress maker and have them change it slightly. I would imagine that would work out to be less than buying a new one as well.

I know what you mean! I have somewhat the same issue... ok here's the low down.... there are 6 of us that are real close and have been friends since childhood..naturally we would be eachother's bridal party...one girl got married last may, I will be in Nov '07 and another will be in July '08....and we have joked about reusing the dresses and maybe dying them another color..... but in actuality we all have different style weddings and tastes....so we are just going to pick something not too expensive..... I did hear however, that we will be combining my and the July '08 's bachelorette party since most of the same people will be going give or take a few...

JMO, I would want different dresses becuase a lot of the guests are probably the same and they might feel like they are having deja-vu. However if it is what you want and your girls are cool with it then it is YOUR day so don't listen to other people!!

I think that all the girls would appreciate not having to buy another dress... maybe you can change it slightly to make it a little different (as someone else suggested) Like if its a long dress, maybe have it shortened to tea-length (I did this with a former BM dress I had, and have worn it to 3 other weddings since, as a guest)
Or, if theres a ribbon or something, maybe you can change that color, and get different flowers & stuff.
Basically I think if you do honestly like the dress, then keep it... i'm sure all your friends would thank you!

I wouldnt settle, as you are trying to do a nice thing by saving them some $$$ if you really love something else than thats what I would go with.

I would talk to them and see what comes from that. You could use the same dresses but maybe you can alter the dresses so that they look different. (i.e. add beading, change the straps, or make it tea-length) This way they are saving hte money and you have a dress that you like!

As long as YOU like the dress, it isn't cheesy at all! I told my girls that they could wear whatever they want as long as it was the same color. As long as you're happy with it....it's a GREAT idea. And very considerate of you

I did not feel like going BM dress shopping and loved the dress I wore in a friend's wedding and asked her if i could use the same style but in a different color and she said yes, she loved the dress and is now happy she has the change to wear it. Part of the bridal party is the same as hers but not all. It worked out great, i knew the dress looked great on all my friends and I didn't have to spend time searching for a dress.

I think it's a nice idea if it's what you want. You can always bring it to a dress maker and have something added or changed to bring the dresses together more.

It's nice that you're trying to save your girls money but DO NOT SETTLE!!!! Make sure you pick what you want! You only get married once (well you're supposed ot anyway.....) But you get what I'm saying! They will get the dress you want them to get hunny don't you worry! XOXOXO Kitty

I think I understand what you mean. With the first dress if you reuse it then you can dye it a different color, add a wrap, cut it shorter so it's tea lenght, or maybe some jewelry onto the side. Discuss it with you BP and see what they think. Good luck...it's a tough one!
