Do you think this is going to be a problem?

3 of my BMs are from Rochester NY. 2 of them are driving down together and staying at a hotel by Chateau Briand. One of the girls husbands will drive them to my house in the morning to get ready.

The other one is staying at her cousins in ROCKLAND county. She plans to have her cousin follow her to CB in the morning to drop her car there, then her cousin will drive her to my house - she will be with us all day in the limo and then drive herself back to Rockland after the wedding.

Now she is doing this to save $ of course. Her cousin told her this was no problem for her since shes only 45 mins away from NYC. Shes 45 mins away from my house - and then theres another 30 tacked on there to get to Nassau where CB is. Lets not forget about all the potential traffic!!!! The thing is, shes not from around here and 45 mins to her is straight on one road with no other cars and cow pastures on the side.

Now I have something else to worry about on my wedding day!!!!!! I cant tell her not to do this? What can I do? Just let it go? The important thing is that she is there that day - but she may be really late!

I would just warn her of potential traffic, but that's all you can really do unless you want to pay for her to stay at a hotel. Explain to her that you're just worried she may be late and you wold hate for her to miss anything.

The cousin coming down with her should be familiar with the area enough to get them to your house so I don't think that should be a big problem.

What time are they supposed to be at your house to get ready? Is there any way you can convince her to stay at the hotel with the other girls? Maybe offer to throw in a few bucks to help them defray the costs?

I am sure it will be ok, but I completely understand that you do not want to worry about this on your wedding day.

Worst case scenario, if she is late, she will be the last to get made up & hair done.

On my wedding day, at 10.30am my sister realized she left her shoes at her house and had to go back and get them. It took her about 45 minutes to get there and back and was barely out of the shower when the photographer arrived and you know what? she still looked beautiful!!!!

Just tell her to leave a lot of time coming from Rockland and I don't see any issue. One of my BM's were from Rockland (I think New City area) and she had to drive to my house the morning of my wedding and was there by noon (earlier than she needed to be) and it probably only took her a less than an hour and a half...my house was all the way in Queens - Ozone Park. For her wedding I made it from Astoria to Rockland in like an hour and a half and that was only because there was a huuuuuge accident that tied up the whole Bruckner (?). It took me about amost hour to get from Astoria to Yankee Stadium - which is normally only 15 minutes. It isn't too bad of a commute...

Can the BM and cousin have another person drive with them. This way they can drop the BM off at your house then the 3rd person can follow the cousin to CB with the BM's car, park it then drive back to Rockland with the cousin.

I think it should be fine, provided that the all parties involved understand the time constraints and are ok with them.

I don't think it'll be TOO much of a problem, especially if you tell her to be there earlier than she actually needs to be. Is there any way she could stay at your house with you?

Well my 2 MOHs are going to be staying with me the night before. But you know what, I think this will work out if I tell her to be there at 11 when she really needs to be there at 12 or something like that.
