This is just my honest opinion and I don't mean to offend anyone this is just what I think......I think just buying bms things they are going to wear to your wedding is not really a gift if that's all ur getting them, its kinda bought with what u like in mind and what would go with their dresses to wear to your wedding. Idk that's just me, of its bought in addition to something else, something that you genuinely saw and thought so and so would like than I'm totally fine with it.
I got them necklaces to wear but I also bought them other stuff that I really think they'll like and use again
Jmho, hope I didn't step on anyones toes

I got my MOH and BM's jewelry as one of their gifts (just earrings that they can either wear that day or not) .. Then I got them a personalized candle, ballet flats, and Im paying for their makeup. HTH!

That's actually funny you say that - I think every wedding I've EVER been in I've gotten jewelry to wear for the wedding - and have NEVER worn any of it again.
That being said, I'm getting my BMs necklaces which can definitely be worn other than at my wedding along with some other little things.

I think it really depends on if you've been in these people's weddings and what you've gotten in the past and also how much they're contributing. Did they throw you your shower? Or did your mother do it? Or someone else? Did they take care of costs for many things associated with the wedding? Were you in their weddings and only got DOJ?
I'm planning on doing this because I've been in the weddings of 4 of my BMs and all I ever got was DOJ. I was never asked to contribute monetarily to a shower, do anything for a bachelorette party except pay my own way, etc. No one ever paid for my hair/nails/makeup and I've had to have french tips and updos for all 4 weddings.
That's just my opinion though. It really depends on personal experience I think. HTH

this can get kinda sticky though, one of your bms may have gotten you a necklace at her wedding, and the other may have gone all out, so then what do you do? give them all disproportionate gifts? thats def gonna start drama, i think you should give what you think is appropriate, yes take into account how much the girls are doing for you as well

Re: Do you think this is ok?
I've only been in one wedding and my gift was a pair of earrings to wear the day of. I was not offended by this in any way. In fact, none of my friends who have been in bridal parties have received gifts. I'm not sure where this traditional has come from, but don't feel pressured to give your BMs a certain kind of gift or a gift of a certain monetary value.

Re: Do you think this is ok?
I have to agree with Joanna here. I have been in weddings before and the jewelry I got was beautiful, but not something I would really wear besides on the day of that person's wedding because it just wasn't my style. I plan on giving my girls flowers for their hair and then something else that they can use, maybe a spa gc or something else but I am doing this because my girls have been very generous to me and I want to thank them. I think it all really depends on what you feel is right though! When I was given jewelry in the past weddings I have been in, I was never offended or annoyed, I was grateful regardless. So definitely go with your gut.

Re: Do you think this is ok?
Thanks so much for helping me on this. I should add that I am paying for their make-up, hair - & all ready purchased & gave them their 'bridesmaid' & MOH tote bags.
I am letting them pick out their DOJ pieces but, will probably end up getting them something small as well.
And no, there is no shower planned.

I honestly think it depends on their style. Maybe get them all different jewelry to wear- to match their personalities. I'm not a fan of forcing your BMs to look identical anyway.
I also think it depends on whether they will be able to wear them again or not. I found these earrings from when I was a BM a few years ago and they're gorgeous! I love them and wear them all the time! But the necklace she gave us was awful! So that's still sitting at the bottom of my jewelry box.

Re: Do you think this is ok?
I'm getting my bm's a few different things, one being DOJ. I know that none of them expect anything. In fact one of my cousins who is a bm laughed when I started talking about bridal party gifts, she said 'your buying me a gift, for your wedding?' She thought it was crazy.
