Do you think this is rude???....(Please read)

I was telling my best friend and MOH how we booked Pedestals and how we are making other appointment this week etc.. Now she is getting married in JUly and just booked her florist. So I hear her FI in the background and he was like 'oh are you getting married in 2005 and we don't know about it' like saying that I am booking everything too soon!!

He has also said that I am the new Bridezilla!

Now all of this is supposed to be joking around...but I am starting to take offense

That is really rude...so what if you're booking now...are there some kind of rules that say you have to wait a certain point after you get engaged to start booking vendors???

I would tell him that 2005 isn't THEIR year and that you can book whom ever WHENEVER...and tell him you're getting married in 2006...in a joking way of course...

that is very RUDE of your friend's FI...Not for anything, I have basically everything booked already & we are only 2 months into 2005!!! If you want to get the GOOD vendors, that means booking soon!!! Don't let her get you down

Well, boys have no clue.

I have gotten a few comments about being a bridezilla but since I have slacked in terms of booking other vendors, I haven't heard comments like that.

I really don't like it when people say 'you have plenty of time'...that is true, but i don't want to be worrying about this in the fall. i really want to book things little by little (as I have the $$) and go from there. geez.

i think that is rude of her FI...but boys are stupid sometimes and they think they are funny and they are not. (i'm on a 'boys stink' mood lately!)

I think it is rude...and clueless. Maybe he doesn't really know what a bridezilla is, because it certainly is not a bride who wants to book her first choice vendor.

Ah don't worry about it. Boys don't know anything anyway.

Booking your vendors now is less stress for you later. All my friends who have gotten married tell me to get it all done early because all kinds of little things start popping up in the last few months. Besides the fact its less stress knowing you have everything booked.

Haha Fh always jokes I am going to be a bridezilla... thats furthest from the truth.

I am finding that when friens are both planning weddings at the same time, there is a level of unspoken competition. Who will outdo who? Your best bet is to keep things quiet. Tell who needs to know - the vendors and whoever is financing your function whether it be you or your families.

The more people who know stuff, the more comments you get. I know I am going to have a tough time because my sisters have their noses in everything. I decided to give them little 'projects' to keep them focused on one thing and not everything else. We'll see how it happens.

I think that's definitely rude. What does he know? I think a lot of people don't realize how quickly vendors book. Some vendors that I'm calling are booking into 2007! Wait until they call a vendor that's booked for their date, then they'll be jealous that you're so on top of everything.

my advice to you is book early. YOu have more options then you dont have to settle for any vendor b/c theya re the only one available foryour day and my opinion on what he said... he is a MAN enough said..

just realized i am 06 not BHB sorry about that. I got ammried already but i visit BHB ocasionally. sorry for intruding .

People always have something to say. DO NOT LET IT GET TO YOU. My own friend said to me that I ordered my dress too soon. You have to do what is good for YOU. I honestly wish I was done with almost everything that could possibly be done. The sooner the better.
