Do you think this is true??

Do you think this is true??

So I ordered my headpiece on March 31st. I know I am ahead of the game, but please, I have been engaged for over a year and half- I need something to do

MY mother suggested I called to make sure that they just didn't forget to call us and then return it, so I called last week and they called me back today. I was in class, but a woman left me a voicemail saying that my 'ship date' is October 1st. ( I told them my wedding was December 8th) Then she goes on to say.......we don't like to order them too early because they turn.

?!?!?!?!? really ?!?!?!?! is this true??

I had wanted mine by September to have my hair trial then. My mother said to call them back and just tell them that I want it now (the woman said she could have it earlier if I wanted) and that I will take the chance it will turn. I feel like if I keep it covered (in plastic or whatever) even during my hair trial, that it won't turn. What do you think???

TIA!

if it 'turns', all it takes is a little silver cleaner to get it good as new.

I bought mine at a sample sale last YEAR! I cleaned it up when I got it, and plan on cleaning it up one more time before the wedding.

You can get the cleaner at Target, Walmart, Eckerd, anywhere, really.

thanks Nic! my mom had mentioned that as well.

I just hate when they take your money like that and hold it for months and months

I noticed that mine has started turning a bit yellow I was so upset, but I guess I'll try some silver cleaner on it!

After I clean it (gosh, so many things to do!!!), I'll probably put it in a ziplock bag and suck out all the air (air is what makes it turn - something like that).

Tell them that your hair trial is in September and you need it before then.

get some acid free tissue paper and wrap the headpiece in that. As long as you create a barrier to air, that should help reduce the oxidation.

tricia, that *****! at least it's not your dress that they did this with. i just don't understand why they think we want to wait for the last minute to get things, even though we order them well in advance.

i hope you can work on them to get it shipped earlier!!!

yes it is true. I just picked up mine and wanted to take it out of the plastic, my FMIL said not to, because they do turn yellowish eventually. My wedding is four months away, so it is staying wrapped up until right before then!
