Do you think this really matters? Advice needed badly!

So I live in NJ okay. 2 of my BM's live in NJ and my MOH (Sister) and another BM lives in NY. I was going to have everyone go to Davids Bridal cause there would be one there and one here as well. But unfortunetly the dress color, burgundy, that I want in the bridesmaids seperates does not come in Burgundy for Davids. Now if I went to another place here, Example: Joe Blow Bridal and went to a different place for the other girls on LI, do you think it would matter as long as its the same model number and mfg? Am I being crazy and paranoid thinking in the end result one of the places wont have the dress in time and it might come out being a different color???????? Thanks!

def go to the same place for ALL dresses! The dye lot my come out diff...so some of the girls dresses may be darker then the others! Have them all agree on a place weather its NY or NJ and go there!!

Definitely order the dresses at the same store. Dye lots can be different. Maybe you can choose a store that's in the middle for everyone? Or have the girls that can't make the trip call in their measurements?

I would go to the same place for all dresses. Some places dye the color and others cut the fabric already dyed. Play it safe and go with one store!!

Definitely get them all from the same place. You can have the NY girls try on the same dress in a NY store and the NJ girls try it on in a NJ store. Then just get their measurements and order it in one place. I wound up ordering my girls' dresses from Netbride.com so that they would be shipped directly to them.

i live in nj also and my mod(lil sis)is in ny...i just drove to ny one sat and brought her to the place out here in nj..it worked out fine its my wedding and i figuered if ny girls couldnt make it due to transportation why not pick them up .....and they all went to the same store no biggie

Thank you girls so much! I thought I was being a little paranoid but you all just proved me wrong. Im just gonna have everyone try on a dress there and have NJ girls try on the dress here but order it from the same place for all of them. The only reason why I was trying to get around everyone coming to 1 state is cause 1 girl from NY is preggo and 1 girl from NJ is preggo and they gotta pee like every 5 minutes But everything will work out now!

I just had this, too, and we are ordering from one place, they just have to call in their measurements and cc numbers and bam, they can even have them shipped to their place of choice..dye lots do vary, so definitely do one store..good luck!

I agree. I will most likely have to do the same thing since my BMs are all over (NY, PR,FL,MD)

you don't have to be together to look at dresses, but i'd order them from the same place. give the ny girls the model number and have them go to a local shop to try it on and see if they like it. if so, then have them get measured (by a bridal suite or a local seamstress) and send their measurements to you. then order all the dresses from whatever place you and the other nj girls are going through. hth.
