do you think wedding magazines are useful??

so the other day i got my new brides magazine in the mail. i subscribed last year when we got engaged b/c it was about $20 for 2 years. and considering they are normally 10 bucks a pop, i figuered it was a good deal. so i've been reading them and they are all the same issues. the dresses are new, but how many different ways can they say the same thing? i mean, when we first got engaged, i wanted to buy all of them (and i did), but now, i'm thinking enough is enough.

thoughts?

I agree they are basically the same but some of the stories and advice they give are different..they sometimes have good ideas
and even though i ordered my gown, it is still fun to look...and now i am searching for hairstlyles and makeup

All of the magazines seem the same. They are all full of the same ads and checklists. That said, I still buy them all.

Suggestion. Go to Barnes and Noble, buy a cup of coffee, sit with a stack of magazines, and buy the ones that have any info that you may find useful. Or takes notes. Once you've picked your dress and booked all of your vendors, do you really need TOMES of paper piling up in the corner of your home?

Realistically NO I don;t feel they are helpful...the articles I mean...I love the pics and I was able to find my dress but they are advertiser driven...But that doesn't stop me from buying them every month

I am always exited when I buy one...but when I'm done with it I'm usually a little dissapointed. LIW is MUCH more helpful than mags.

I think at first they were great. I found my gown in a magazine and then I went to the salon so I could try it on. But now they don't seem as fun.

I think that most of the time it is the same stuff over again but its like a bad habit- everytime I see one I don't have I have to get it. By the time I'm married they are going to overtake an entire room in our apartment!

Not really... I find them pretty boring at this point.. its all the same pictures and ads over and over again... and too expenisve. I don't really understand why they are so much money, its not like the magazine is filled with articles, its filled with ads from companies that pay the magazine publisher to print.. so what exactly are we paying so much money for? Because its a WEDDING thing... anything wedding means to businesses... oh we can make the price whatever we dam well please!!!!!
