I have my hair trial at the salon tonight. Do you tip for the trial?

When I went to the trials at the salon, where the salon was getting most of the money I only tipped if they were really good and I was happy.

I dont know,
I havent thought about that
I guess if you know you are going back there you dont have to
espeically with the prices they are charing, I guess this is all up to you.

see how much time and effort she puts into
or
figure out how much you were going to tip her on the Day of your wedding and know a few bucks off that tip and give it to her tonight,
thats sound good to me, so thats probably what I will do, so I dont feel silly

I did. My hairdresser was still making the effort to produce something I liked and took me as she would normally any other client. I would say yes as long as you like it and are happy with their effort to make you happy as well!

I tipped at both 2 of my trials, but after my 2nd and final trial, I wish I didn't tip the first girl.. She didn't do a good job and wasn't professional

How much (approx) do you tip at the trial. Do they charge you for a trial? I haven't asked my girl yet.

I was charged $60 for both trials, and same for day off... So I gave extra $10 each time

I think you are expected to tip regardless IMO. If you have an appointment at a salon and the stylist puts in her time I think if you like the result you should.....But of course if you are not happy with it then that is a different story.

Follow up - I tipped! I had her do my hair, then had her take it out and try a slightly different style, which she did no problem. So I figured it was definitely worth the 20% tip.....I booked her (phew - i was really cutting it close!).....

Thanks ladies!! Yeah, it felt good.....glad i brought pics with me though! and glad i said something - i really wasn't happy at first, but then spoke up and said i wanted a style in another pic, and she tried it...that was the style i wanted.....went better with my headpiece and small head!
