Do you tip at the engagement shoot?
Hi!Just had our engagement shoot tonight and half way through started panicking about tipping protocol for engagement sessions. I know you tip at the wedding, but if it's the same photographer, do you tip for the engagement session?
Thanks :)

Do you tip at the engagement shoot?
I did not tip for the engagement shoot and I feel a tip wasn't needed. It wasn't an all day event. I would say an hour the most and that was all.

Do you tip at the engagement shoot?
I was wondering this too! I have no clue if it's customary or not!

Do you tip at the engagement shoot?
We didn't tip for engagement session. We paid a pretty penny to add it onto our package, and since our photographer is the owner, we felt 90% of that money went straight in his pocket anyway. We are planning to tip him for the wedding day though. If the engagement session had been included in our package at no extra charge, I probably would have thought differently about tipping though.

Do you tip at the engagement shoot?
Mine was included in my package, but I didn't tip. It was the owner & another shooter, but I felt it wasn't a tipping situation, that I would take care of them after the wedding.I thought of it llike this - when we meet w the DJ, florist and banquet manager prior to the wedding to finalize details, I wouldn't tip them then, so eshoot is just part of the process.

Do you tip at the engagement shoot?
We tipped, but not much. I think it was $40, maybe $50 at most. When we booked they gave us the engagement shoot for free. Even though it was all part of one package, I felt the engagement shoot was a separate event from our wedding. It was additional time and money beyond our wedding day that the photographer took to do this. Our photographer stayed with us longer than than hour that was originally allotted to us as well. My feeling was someone is providing me a service and I tip when I get good service.

Do you tip at the engagement shoot?
I didn't tip only because I didn't think about it until after but I wish I would've.

This exactly! I think we had the same photographer! I used Kevin from Jay Lim. I agree it was their time and we were there i think over 2 hours...so I think $40 was the least I could do!

Do you tip at the engagement shoot?
We did not. We have the engagement shoot as part of our photography package. We did give them money for travel (they flew to Florida for us) but they had mentioned it before we booked and then never charged me for it.

This! Anyone who provides you service should get a tip.
