My BM told me that you don't have to tip since its not at the salon.

I had my makeup trail with Denise from Angel Eyes at her hosue. The trail was $25 but since I booked her on the spot the trail was free so I tipped her $10. I had my hair trail with my mom's friend in her house and she did not charge me for the trail and would not take a tip.

My make-up trial was free. She didn't even take a tip from me though when I tried to give it to her. The others I had to pay for, I tipped, and they took it.

eta - the make-up trial was free, however to try airbrushing it was $25.00, but she really took her time, she really wanted to make me happy. ps. it worked, i booked her!

I tipped when I was at the salon, didn't when she came to my house. I figured she was getting all of it anyway.

I tried to tip for my make-up trial...she wouldn't take the tip...and the trial was also free. My friend is a hairdresser...so I didn't try to tip her.

My trial is $110!!! and for the wedding it will be $225!! The bridesmaids will be $165 each - I guess I'll take care of the tips for them because they are already paying so much.

The hair trial is $70 and the make up trial is $45 - sorry that's $115 for both trials.
My BM was under the impression since its her own business you weren't required to tip.
I told her I'd take care of it.

God! I am such a spaz. I went for my make-up trial, I paid for my Mom and I, but since I booked on the spot the $25 trial will be deducted from Wedding day price. I feel so bad I didn't tip I can't believe it just didn't occur to me
