We were planning on sending ours a nice gift, but were recently told by another wedding professional (not our hall) that we should give her a pretty hefty tip. Is this kosher?

My banquet manager never said anything like that. We were not planning on tipping.

I didn't think you were supposed to tip her. I don't even think we would see her at the wedding. Just the Miatre d' & bridal attendant will be there. I was just going to send a thank you note.
