We had our e -shott yesterday too. Where did you take your pics? We did tip her but I dont necessarily think that you have to. Whatever makes you comfortable.

We had ours back on may 9th and totally forgot to tip him. But for the wedding will give him a little extra!!

We didn't tip our photographer for the epics. We were debating whether we should also but decided not to. I talked to family members who have gotten married recently and they said it is not necessary.

it varies, everyone leaves different amounts not a standard rule for tipping photographers.

I would say maybe $50-100 is a good amount

do u tip right after the shoot or when u get your epics? or do u usually get ur epics right away??

i think i would just include it in the tip after the wedding. i wouldnt tip at the shoot because you have no idea how the pictures came out. i know i'd be ticked if i gave a guy an extra $100 and then saw that his work was not what i was expecting.

but then again, i don't think you have to tip anyone unless the service they provide is exceptional. (waitstaff not included)
my photographer (hypothetical him b/c i don't have one yet) is getting paid for his services, so why should i pay him more?
if after i see all the photos and think he went above and beyond at the end of the day then i'll tip, but in situations like this i usually give a thank you gift instead of cash.

I tipped right after the shoot but I also got my pictures right away

I've read numerous times that if the owner shoots you then its not necessary to tip, hes the owner. But if the photographer is just an employee of a company, then you should probably think about tipping.

We have our e-pics next week and we're not tipping. (and the owner is shooting us) But we will tip on the big day!

I think the tip on the wedding day should suffice.

yeah thats true but i think in some situations its different...like the owner of a big company who has multiple employees i understand that rule applying to them...But some are self-employed, work out of their home and dont have other employees working for them
