Do you tip your rabbi? If so, how much?

I think it depends. If he's from your synagogue and he's acting on their behalf and they are geting the ceremony fee, then I would, but if you'rehiring him as an outside Rabbi and he's already getting the fee then I would not.

You will have to pay the rabbi, most likely, so then you do not tip him. Otherwise, you often have to make a 'donation' to the temple and that's how he gets paid.

The rabbi from my synagogue is conservative and cant marry FH and I, as he is not Jewish, but he recommended me to a reform rabbi he trusts. This rabbi has a fee, and will be conducting the ceremony in a catering hall. So, therefore, I do not tip since I am paying his fee and there is no synagogue to be making the donation to?
