Re: Do you yardsale???
I love them! Alot of times, if you yard sale in the nicer neighborhoods, you end up with new stuff they have never used!

Re: Do you yardsale???
yard sales are a major hit and miss. i did happen to stumple upon one today and purchased 3 antique wooden dining chairs (very sturdy and all intact) for $20. i plan to sand, re-stain, and add upholstery to the seat bottoms. IMO it was well worth $20. the same chairs in an antique store would be over $200 a piece.
i do agree that most items sold at yard sales is junk. IMO, i would donate the items instead. learning from past experience, i now only visit those in upsacle areas.

Re: Do you yardsale???
When I first got my own apartment I got some very cute things that just needed a coat of paint. I have this little shelf that I love, and I think I paid $1 for it!

I agree they are hit and miss, but there are definitely treasures to be found.
My one problem with yard sales is you really need to be an early bird, they get the best that out there and I am not a morning person!
