Does anyone else have a friend who you just cannot get along with anymore?? Either your at different stages in life or you just dont like their liefstyle?
I have one and i hate to say this but she has changed so much. Lets just say her escapades with men are horrific and I have a word for her but would never say it here. She doesnt worry about anything no matter how many times people talk to her. Plus she says she wants marriage, babies but she will never find it with what shes doing.
She says I changed when I got married but I dont think I did. Yes I fell into a different lifestyle but isnt that what your supposed to do? Shes really mean to me sometimes too..she came over the other night to see my proofs finally and she made fun of every one of me by myself. I was shocked but just tried to laff along with her so I wouldnt show her that I was hurt.
Sometimes I think its just time to move on but shes one of those neighborhood, childhood friends that Im afraid of losing but then again..am I really losing out?

Re: Do your friends do this?
unfortunately ....yes. I have had friendships that I thought were for a lifetime. But people change. And although it's tough, sometimes you have to just move on and 'break up' so to speak!
My best friend in college stopped talking to me after I got engaged. Jealousy rears it's ugly head!
Are you losing out...I don't think so....do you really need that negativity?
ETS: real friends don't make fun of your proofs! Who needs that???!!

I've had this with a few friends - some I'm still friends with and some I'm not. It's so hard to cut an old friend from your life. I had a best friend where she and I just were so different and could not get along. We had a fight and after that we both knew it couldn't work and we didn't call each other. Now we are talking again and became friends but sometimes it's easier to cut the cord. It's less stress for you even though you think it will hurt alot. I was alot happier without her in my life for the time being. You don't need people in your life who make you feel like crap!

Re: Do your friends do this?
Have you secretly jumped into my life and taken one of my close friends? She is EXACTLY like that, from her lifestyle with men, to wanting marriage and kids and wondering why she can't find anyone (if you sleep with him on the first date, why should he want to marry you?) to making fun of me for being settled to even making fun of my style (she says I am too prim and proper and have very expensive taste. This is why I won't take her dress shopping with me) The only difference is I really think my friend is jealous of me being engaged. Do you think yours is, too?

I am so sorry you are going through that. Not everyone moves on, or is ready to. She may never move on, which makes ita strained relationship. She maybe being mean because she is jealous of what you have and she doesn't. Recently I have lost 2 good friends to 'Lifestyle Changes', and I am very upset. One was my MOH, and the other a BM. So we were close, or so I'd thought we were.
The best thing I did was confronted my MOH. I told her how mean she was and asked why. She ended up screaming at me telling me things like I was never here for her which is b/s. In the end our relationship is gone, which was her choice. I told her whatever is going on I will be there for her. She no longer calls me or answers my e-mails. it is very upsetting, but she hates me. The sad thing is I was only married last september and right after that is started to happen.
So in the end I have found who my real friends are. So, maybe she was a friend for one chapter of your life and you are to meet new people for the next? I truely believe that. It is tough when something like that happens and my heart goes out to you.

Re: Do your friends do this?
I think it may be time...She claims my lifestyle is boring (cooking, cleaning, working, going out with dh, talking about babies) but then she claims thats what she wants. So that must be jealousy. But I am the type of person that always stand behind her but her lifestyle has become so ridiculous that I just cant anymore. Its a shame too cause shes really a sweet person with a heart of gold. She gives guys what they want in the first hour..forget about first date and then expects to find a meaningful relationship. I try to tell her but she gets mad and tells me that I dont know the way of the world now cause Im married and thats how things have to be. Im sorry, I dont think like that.
And im not here talking behind her back cause ive had this conversation with her plenty of times but she just doesnt want to listen. And making fun of my proofs was the last straw..how mean and jealous can you be?

Re: Do your friends do this?
You don't know how much I feel like you are talking about my friend. Does she claim that sleeping with a guy doesn't mean anything to her and she just sees it as the deed that it is? My friend says she does it for her own pleasure and she doesn't think of it as an act of love.
Maybe our friends should get together and go clubbing together. I wonder if they would see their own flaws in the other's behavior.

Re: Do your friends do this?
I am going through a similar situation right now. JT and I moved away about a year ago, and in that time, I have advanced professionally, grown closer to JT, made new friends, etc. But now that I am back in NY and hanging out with my friends, who I spent nearly everyday with before I moved, I am finding that I have NOTHING in common with them anymore. And it $ucks because on the one hand, I don't dislike them or want to not talk to them anymore, but on the other hand, none of them have changed or grown or progressed in their lives since I've been gone. And although that's fine, I don't want to be a part of it anymore. I think it's natural to move on in life, especially after marriage. And I also think that true friends understand that. My friends don't seem to understand what is going on in my life now, but I can only hope that at their own pace they will grow and hopefully find their way back into my life, which has happened before, so I am hopeful. On the other hand, I'm excited to make new friends and meet new people. So although I am leaving people behind, it is nice to branch out. Good luck and just know your friend just isn't in the same place as you in her life and probably wishes she was

Re: Do your friends do this?
Sometimes I think that friends come in and out of our lives...and when they are IN our lives, it is the right time for them to be there. But then things start to change and people go in seperate directions. It happens. You and your friend no longer share the same interests.
