Do your invitations need to match your wedding colors? I love this invitation in navy blue, but my BM dresses are European Sky Blue, which pretty much looks periwinkle. I can get this invitation in periwinkle instead of navy, but I don't think I would like the way it would look. I want a darker color for the invites. I think periwinkle would look too girly and the lettering would not stand out as much. What do you think? Should I get navy or periwinkle or just go for something different all together?

I had asked the same question regarding my invites and programs. I was told it is not necessary, your guests probably won't have the invites with them at the wedding to notice that sort of detail. Can't see the picture, but it's still in the blue family, right? They are beautiful, BTW, I love them!! Where did you find them?

We didn't. Our wedding colors were red and ivory but our invitations were black and white. Go for what you want! By the way, those invitations look great!

I don't think so. My friend just got married and her invitation colors totally did not match the dress colors.

I would say no, noone is going to be comparing the two. If you had a definite theme then you might want to match, otherwise don't worry.

I used the same invites. I think navy is fine since it is in the same color scheme.
