do your invites have a theme?

i really wanted to incorporate nyc in our wedding theme....but i dont think this can be done w/invites...i'm afriaid it may look cheesy or less elegant.
Should i just stick to colors?
for the girls that have 'themes', baseball, seasons, etc..are you using any of this on your invites?

ps our colors are black/white splash of siver...(Cant use damask, 2 of my close friends already used it)

maybe there is some way you can incorporate a silhouette of the skyline... i think you can find a way to use the theme and still have the invites look classy

our wedding colors are brown, blue & ivory. so we will follow that with our invites. we also have a scroll on our save the date that we really love which will also be included on our invites.

I think you can have the NYC skyline incorporated in a classy way and this will look great with your color scheme.

As for me, my invites aren't having a theme. They are just going with the wedding colors!

We are kind of going for a vintage feel and hopefully we can find invites that are not crazy expensive that have that feel.

I am doing the baseball theme... I don't want my invites to look like a kid's b-day party invite so I think I am going to do a pinstripe of some kind. I have not picked anything out yet but the pinstripes fit what I want. Classy and doesn't scream baseball.

i was going for a 'romantic victorian elegance' with our invites..

and the side things were inspired by the chandeliers at our hall..

eta: sorry wayyy too large

Well, kind of but not really - the theme is like antigue if that makes any sense, like we are having it an old mansion, my dress is kind of antiquish looking - we went with these
