It's up to you and your needs. Do you want to be involved in every detail or are you willing to have someone help you stay organized and help you each step of the way? FM October Bliss - I know she's using one if you want to get some feedback from her.

To me, it's worth every penny.
FH and I are paying for the entire wedding, I want to enjoy every second of it and have my guests do the same. If something should go wrong, it's my DOC's job to fix it!

Depends. My thought was with all the money that would be spent on this one day, I'd be better off having someone there to ensure that everything went according to plan. Small price to pay in the scheme of things. Plus it takes the responsibility for certain things off members of the BP. I just want them to have a good time!!

I didn't think so at first... then I started thinking about it... I don't do well with stress. If I hit a bum in the road - I don't just swerve - I lose a tire. I hired one just to head off anyting possible. A lot of girls ask - well, I have a bridal manager/maitre'd - what do I need a DOC for? My answer to that is the DOC works for you -the bm or maitre d' works for the RH.
If you can handle a lot of stress - you don't need one - otherwise - hire a DOC.

I think it's money well spent... for peace of mind! I don't want me or my mom to be worrying on my wedding day. And I don't want to be delegating responsibilities to friends or family members on our wedding day to carry specific details out. I know that handing out the rose petals, programs, lining up the wedding party, setting up the candy buffet, making sure my lipstick is on in full strength for pictures, all my must take pics are taken, all the special details and moments are 'remembered' so we don't go through the rest of life regretting that we 'forgot to do' something...
and I'm pretty confident that I have one of the best DOC's out there... she's SO caring and compassionate (even in the 6 months leading up to the wedding... she just clicked with me and my mom!). Everyone I know who has used her just loved her!
