DOC

Is it worth it to have one? I'm sort of on the fence and i'm not sure if its worth the money. Someone told me they are about $800 for the day of.

Would really appreciate some comments?

I was going to pass, but then thought that I really wanted to be able to relax and enjoy my day, so I gave my DOC a call. Once we met with her, I felt so at ease knowing that someone will be there that day as the 'go to' person. Good luck!

Its definately a great investment you can have someone else take care of the stress you can enjoy your weddign day.

I used Christine from Exquisite Affairs Productions (EAP) she was excellent and her price is no where near $800.

I totally agree! Christine has been my absolute savior! She's designed and printed my invites, will be doing my menus, programs and votive placecards and candle table numbers. What does the DOC do that a Maitre D doesn't?

They are with in the house in the morning, making ure all vendors are on time, doing what they are supposed to be doing. Then if something happens at the church or the hall, and the DOC handles it, instead of you stressing about it.

Exactly! The maitre'd is only in charge of the reception - the waitstaff, food, transitions from room to room, etc.

A DOC is with you all day, checks with your vendors, handles any issues that might arise, helps coordinate your BP and family, etc etc. Basically, they're there to make sure that everything goes as it's supposed to on the big day - so that YOU don't have to.

I'm using Eliana of By Your Side Events and I highly recommend her!

I also recommend Eliana. I used her for my wedding about 3 weeks ago (I can't believe it has been that long already!!!) & she was wonderful!!! I felt like a Queen all day because I did not have to deal with anything. Eliana & her sister made sure everything went smoothly.

She was also a VERY BIG HELP before the wedding. She made my aisle runner & my 'Here Comes the Bride' Banner (Pics in ablum). She also got me discounts on a few items that I needed for the wedding.

Her price is VERY affordable & worth every penny!!!!!!
