Is anyone using a doc? I have a great MOH and she will be there to handle the worries but I want her to have a good time. I dont know. Is it worth the $$. Someone posted a while back that when you think of how much your spending its almost like extra 'insurance' to make sure all goes smoothly. I thought that was a good point.

Re: doc
i definitely am bcuz i am SOOOO neurotic i KNOW i wont be able to function if i dont have someone there looking after all the things i wont be able to. the peace of mind will be worth the money for me. i'm taking care of mostly everything else so im not spending the money on a wedding PLANNER but will definitely fork over a few extra bucks for someone to keep me SANE on March 22, 2009!!

Re: doc
I decided that I should have one. I do not think it is a neccessity but I think it helps ease the mind and make for a more flowing day.
I would definetly recommend Christine from Exquisite Affairs, she is a vendor on here and is wonderful and actually really reasonably priced.

Re: doc
I used a planner and I can NOT tell you how much of a help she was before AND during the day! I highly suggest if you can find a place for it to get one...you may have an easy time planning but you dont know what will happen the day of and will never be prepared for that-my planner took care of EVERYTHING...i didnt have to worry about a single thing and things did go wrong

Re: doc
After we book all of our vendors we will decide if we have enough left and if we do we are absolutely having one. I wouldn't say I'm a bridezilla I just want to make sure everything goes perfect. We are having 250+ people at the wedding plus we have a large bridal party. I just want someone to help me and FH keep our sanity.

Re: doc
I am not necessarily a bridezilla but I think it was good treat for me and fh to have DOC. I know I will sooo neverous I need that extra person to calm me down. Their are many DOC who offer affordable rates.

I dont think so. I'd wind up doing everything myself anyway - I can't sit back and watch anyone do something.

If you don't mind me asking... what were her prices?

Re: doc
I would definitely hire one for peace of mind, however it is most likely out of my budget. There are other extras that I would put before a DOC.

Re: doc
I'm having one. I don't want to have anything to worry about on my wedding day, nor do I want any of my friends or family to take that responsibility. I want everyone to enjoy themselves and I want to get what I paid for.

Re: doc
My reception hall actually suggested that I don't use one...has anyone else had that experience? I'm not worried about the reception hall, especially since we are using house vendors. My only concern would be at the church...so I'm still deciding if I think a DOC would be necessary for that purpose.

Re: doc
I am having one as my friend has given me prices she got and worth every penny- i have no patience and get aggravated quickly so need to have someone to keep me away from any situations that day and did not want friends or family resp.

See this is what I thought-but this is not how it is, they roll with your ideas and make it work with your vision. My planner took over nothing I wanted, I had ideas that never wouldhave worked...she made them work
