How many are having one? Who did you book with/recommend? What approx is the price range? And what is the benefit to having one?
Please help me decide on this one! TIA!

Re: DOC
I used a DOC for my wedding, and i highly advise hiring one!!!! They are a life saver, and your family can relax and not have to worry about all the little things that can go wrong that day

Re: DOC
Kerri, I've been going back and forth on this one...From chatting with multiple Royalton brides, they have all told me that the venue really handles everything super well. Between Gerard and Mike and the Maitre'd, bridal attendant, etc. they really didn't need one. I'm still torn though! Don't want to regret it! I've heard they start at about $500 for the day and go up.

Allegra!~ Thank you for this! I feel the same as you do. I figured the royalton would have it all taken care of... but there's still this little... should I voice. Are you getting married there? I was also thinking they would be able to help out with the church part.
How involved are these people? Are you in contact with them before the big day or just on the big day? Do they help you find things or are you on your own for ALL of the planning then they just swoop in at the 11th hour and just handle what you are too busy for on that day?
I notebooked this post.... so I have all of your wonderful information... and I may FM some of you within the next few months with some questions.
Thank you to everyone!

depends where you have your ceremony, remember that a maitre'd has absolutely nothing to do with your church ceremony so they wont be there for any of that OR anything that happens before reception. For example if there is a problem with the limo's picking you up, the maitre'd wont know about it and isnt even there. Or helping to coordinate you with your time such as getting ready, ceremony, picture time.
YES, maitre'd and bridal attendants do help alot when it comes to anything to do with the RH but thats it. They are not the ones to call your vendors if anything goes wrong or call if flowers come wrong and needs to be fixed so keep that in mind. I would say thats what the big difference is.
Alot of what my DOC did was before the reception even started. Was there at my house first when i was getting ready, went to church and made sure everything was fine before i got there, and everything else she did before reception time.
Yes the DOC also helps out before your wedding. They offer to make your final payments if you dont have time and too busy with other things. They meet with you to go over everything and make sure everything is fine. You can call or email them to help you with anything. My DOC also made my menu's for me when i ran out of time.
I paid somewhere between $500-600 i remember

Kerri, yeah, I am getting married there. The DOC probably would help a bunch with the church, etc. You may want to do it, just because the whole first part of your day has little to nothing to do with the Royalton. I'm still really stuck on this!!
