I'm sort of in the same position. But FH actually thinks we need one...and everyone else in my life thinks it's a waste of money and they just do the job of the maitre d and bridal attendant. When you look at the list if what they do...it kind of duplicates what those people do...so I am also wondering what makes them so much better?

I booked Christine from Exquisite Affairs Productions. I booked her for a few hours, when I'm getting ready to our main entrance at the reception hall. After that I'll have the Maitre D' to help us with whatever we need.
I'm kinda torn. I think it would be NICE to have some added security. However, it's not in the budget now. If it is when the time gets closer, I may hire one.
