the DOC (if you are hiring for the full day) will probably do all or most of the following:
- arrive at the bride's house and check on the flowers to make sure everything has arrived correctly. Call the groom's house to make sure their bouts/flowers have arrived correctly as well.
- head over to the church/ceremony location to make sure everything is setup as planned.
- should have an emergency kit (like make up, sewing kit, mints, and other random stuff) in case something should happen.
- will call and make sure all vendors are on schedule and there are no problems.
- after the ceremony, will head to the RH to assist in setting up the room to your specifications and assure that all the vendors have arrived, your CPs and other arrangements are correct.
- she/he should also have back up of certain items (if you choose to give them to her) like CD of must play songs/must play song list for DJ, must take photo list, special announcements for the DJ.
- she will also make sure everything is running on schedule.
I'm probably leaving stuff out but this is what I could think of.
Also, some girls may only choose to hire a DOC up until the beginning of the RH. After she checks over everything, the DOC will leave and that is where the BA and BM will come into play for you for the remainder of the evening.
