DOC??

Good morning. I have been seriously thinking abou hiring a DOC. However, I was told that the Maitre D can take care of everything at the reception. My venue comes with 3 Maitre Ds. Should I hire a DOC? What do you ladies think?

I am having the same issue. I had looked into a DOC, but my married friends have been telling me that its really isn't necessary and that this is why we are paying the banquet hall. Sorry I can't help, b/c I am still unsure about it myself!

I don't know because girls on here swear by having a DOC but I can't see why I would need one. I mean there is a bridal attendant and a maitre 'd so I really don't know. At my friends wedding the Bridal Attendant was amazing and brought us anything (we really didn't even need anything) but between her and the other staff at the hall, there was nothing that needed to be done. I guess it depends if you have a lot of little things you are nervous about happening correctly.

A DOC is a GOD send!! I had a Maitre D, and 2 bridal attendants but you have to remember that they work for the hall and do not handle problems with other vendors (DJ, florist, etc).

I had a problem with limos at the end of the night and my maitre d refused to call the company, but my DOC did! DOC's have copies of all your contracts And make sure everything is smooth sailing with ALL vendors. it was very worth it. I did the half day and it was only $300. Money well spent!

I never thought I would want or need one. After to speaking to a DOC, I knew I had to have one. They do so much more than I thought. Puts me totally at ease!

DOCs help you with everything... the BM's and bridal attendants work for the RH and only handle things related to the reception and their hall, not the vendors. If you have any issues or problems the DOCs will handle it and you won't have to stress.

I have a detailed in my bride's review for Cheeky Glam DOCs that I used for my wedding in January and recommend them to EVERYONE becuase they were awesome and I was a very anal and organized bride who was in control of everything for the wedding and don't know what I would have done without their assistance on the day of, before or even after the wedding because they helped fix problems I had with my DJ.

Re: DOC??

I def. agree that a DOC is a great thing to hire.

Also, you can communicate with your DOC for any questions you may have months before the wedding..you can't usually do that with a bridal attendant or someone that works for the hall.

Also, the DOC usually has information, honest information, about the hall you are using and may be able to help ahead of time with problems that could arise.

And the DOC will form a relationship with you, the cheeky girls and I have only been talking since January when I booked them and I already trust them 100 percent and they are like friends. By the time my wedding comes they will def know me well and be able to help me more knowing my style...where the bridal attendant and other staff at teh hall are really only meeting me that day or the week before.

I def. suggest looking into cheeky glam, they are amazing at what they do, but they do book fast :)
