I want a DOC and FH Doesnt... he thinks its a waste of money since the venue comes with someone!

Ugh!

My DOC is also working with us before the wedding and I believe most of them do. They are coming to our church rehearsal to ensure everything is done correctly the day of. They also confirm with vendors the week prior to the wedding. I am using A Modern Day Affair and they have 6 or 12 hour packages. I just feel calmer knowing that my 2 DOC's will be with me prior to the ceremony to ensure everything is going to go right.

FH and my dad didn't get it either, they kept asking... ok but what is she going to do? I ended up getting one anyway for 12 hours. I am thankful I did because I already have 2 tasks I want her to do. One is to make sure the flowers in the church are set up correctly (while we are at the house getting ready) and the other is to make sure the flowers at the RH are set up correctly too. I want her to deal with all that and make the phone calls if there IS a problem. I want to not know of these problems if possible. I think it will come in handy and is wroth the $. Def different than a bridal attendant or matre'd.

My fh said the same thing but I was like nope doing it either way and he loves our doc and they have been working with us for over a year now and worth every penny.

I'm having this exact debate with FH too. He doesn't really see the merit in hiring someone while I know I'll be the one stressing out on our wedding day while he won't worry about a thing lol. I'm trying to gather quotes so we can hopefully find one that's affordable enough that he won't mind using some of our budget towards it!

I really want one and my parents are SO against it. They keep insisting that's why we have a bridal attendant but I will feel so much more comfortable having someone there the entire day in case anything goes wrong.

I honestly didn't give FH a choice. I knew I needed on for my sanity. He could careless & basically figured if I would be less stressed it would be worth it for him We are booked with Once up an event

I definitely didn't want to worry about a THING on my wedding day. I mean, i'm sure I still will (lol) but having a DOC will mean i will worry LESS. I'm so glad i decided to book one so far. She's been great.

FH said if I felt I wanted one to go for it and I too am booking with Once Upon An Event, they were great! I'll have 1 person for the whole day (12 hours) it's basically a piece of mind for me! they also work with you on other aspects of your day and meet with you more than once.

I didn't give FH a choice either......told him I'm meeting with a DOC in passing conversation, went to the appointment and booked Elite Glamour Events on the spot. When I told him I booked he asked what it even was. I said Lindsey is my peace of mind! I know it's Day of but I can say I've spoken to her at least 50 times via email, text or phone and my wedding isn't even for another 14 months. Highly recommend!!!!!!
