DOC

For everyone who is using a DOC, I'm just curious who you've visited with/booked with. FH doesn't think I need this and thinks its a waste of money but I still want to get pricing/meet with a few companies. TIA

I'm curious about this also. FH thinks is a waste of money, which I guess is easy for him to say when he's not really involved with planning! LOL!

Once Upon An Event!!! the ladies are great and I'm excited to have them assist on the day. I just want that piece of mind and compared to how much they are vs. the cost of the whole day, I found it to be worth it. FH also agreed I should get it because he knows it will make me feel better lol

Men have no idea how much is being planned. They know of the big things but they don't know there's about 150 other LITTLE things to worry about. I'm having a DOC and my FH is supportive thankfully. I want to stress as least as possible on the day of my wedding

DOC - Long Island Weddings

We booked with A Modern Day Affair. FH was on board with a DOC too make sure the day goes smoothly especially at the church. One of the DOC's will be present for our rehearsal at the church to make sure everything is the way we want it the day of.

2013er crashing. I used Cynthia Ross Affairs for my wedding a few weeks ago. Cindy was beyond amazing. She was very helpful through planning and was present at our rehearsal at the church. The day of she was by my side fixing my train/veil, holding my flowers, and made sure EVERYTHING went according to plan. If anything wasn't done right or didn't go as planned that day.. i had no clue. She also had an assistant with her that didn't cost me anything extra. Having a DOC gives you piece of mind on your big day.

I'm using Elite Glamour Events.....FH asked the same thing when we met them and the response that was given which FH loved was 'unlike the bridal attendant I work for you...not your reception hall. I have your best interest in everything I do.' When I thought about that it's true. When it came to my friends or family helping I thought why not let them just have fun and not have to worry about anything. Hope that helps. ; )

FH thinks that the bridal attendant at the venue is going to help with everything...is this true? won't she be there when our florist is there making sure my vision 'comes to life'?? isnt the bridal attendant the one to make sure everything goes smoothly at the venue? help me out bc if not the next appointment im making is for a DOC

I think the Maitre'd and bridal attendants are helpful when it comes to certain things. But the DOC is all about taking care of ANYTHING you can think of. They can work w/the vendors in the days/weeks leading up to the wedding so they know what to expect. They deal w/logistics, tipping, pretty much whatever you want them to do. I just needed someone to be sort of the other part of my brain that day so i can relax a little bit. You work with them ahead of time so they have a clear vision of what their main focus will be on your wedding day. The bridal attendants and Maitre'd are really just helping with the little things.
