DOC?

I know this has been discussed here many times, but I'm asking again! Do I need a DOC. Yes, no, maybe so? Is it worth it? Are they very expensive? Any insight gladly appreciated!

DOC? - Long Island Weddings

I think you will get mixed feelings on this. Some brides love the planning, some don't. I am a control freak, but this whole process is exhausting to me. I think i will prob not enjoy my wedding day worrying about all the details and all my hard work paying off. So I thought having a DOC would be best for me. Their sole purpose is to make your the day goes smoothly and take care of the things you really don't want to get involved in. I also think the prices will vary depending on who you use.

DOC?

I'm not. I felt like I could do most of the stuff myself.

Re: DOC?

I'm not using one of the various companies that provide DOC services that are mentioned on LIW. I'm sort of having one, though, through a friend of the family, who is helping FH and I with a lot of the DIY side of our wedding (she's extremely crafty). She has also agreed to take on some of the DOC role, such as working with the florist to ensure that my centerpieces are set up appropriately, and making sure the rest of the details are as I want them to be. We are paying her approximately what I have heard a lot of these DOCs go for.

DOC?

I'm having one. I would be worried about my details being right and I don't want to or have to have my mom check on things so It works for me.
And mine is very reasonable

DOC? - Long Island Weddings

I really was up in the air on this, but in an attempt to save some money I decided against it. I also have a large wedding party and family who plan to absorb, and assist with god forbid anything that may go wrong on that day.

DOC? - Long Island Weddings

I'm not. I'm pretty particular about certain things so I'd rather do it myself. However, I do know a few girls that have had them and said it was the best investment they had. I guess it's really a personal decision ... don't think it's a necessity though.

Re: DOC?

I don't think I ever heard anyone regret having a DOC. I love doing all the wedding planning but day of I wanna just relax. and anything that goes wrong well it won't be my problem lol. I like that someone will just be handling things for me. to me it's totally worth it.

DOC? - Long Island Weddings

I'm not having a DOC. So far I have been managing the planning pretty well on my own. But maybe as it gets closer to the wedding and the day of timing jitters kick in, I might reconsider.

DOC? - Long Island Weddings

I'm having a DOC to make sure everything is going smoothly the weeks leading up to the wedding and the day of. I will be too nervous the day of to worry about something not going right and having to fix it. I also don't want my mother or bridal party have to worry about it either. I have a fairly large bridal party and the DOC will help keep everything in order. The prices for A Modern Day Affair were very reasonable in my opinion.
