I was just wondering if anybody can FM me some quotes or recommendations for DOC's ( both half day and full day rates would be great). I've been going back and forth on this, and didn't think I need one, but reading some posts has me worried that I will have a complete meltdown if I don't. I'd just like to get an idea of how much I would need to budget for it. Thanks girls!

also - do you think I *NEED* one? For bridal party we're only doing MOH and Best Man, we're getting married ( and taking all of our pictures ) at the venue before the ceremony. Is it really necessary? Should I not even think about it until it gets much closer and see if I'm feeling overwhelmed?

I debated this myself. If you're a super planner(I'm crazy at planning) I think you should consider it. If something goes wrong after countless months of planning it'll drive you nuts, however, budget is a deal breaker....try going to places that attend expos most of the time they give you some money off the package. I'm researching places soon.

When I first started wedding planning the thought of having a DOC didn’t even cross my mind. However, after getting overwhelmed with our engagement party that we basically planned & hosted ourselves it became quite appealing. I have a pretty strong vision for our wedding décor and will be doing a lot of DIY projects. The DOC will be an extra set of hands and eyes plus it will be so reassuring to know that they will handle any snags in the day. My DOC (Cloud Nove Events) is also great because, even though we’ve only hired them for the day of, we can e-mail her for suggestions and opinions as often as we need to along the way.

We are having a mid-size wedding, all at one location, plus a decent size bridal party so I did have second thoughts about it – wondering if it was really necessary. In the end I decided to go for it to save myself some sanity. We hired 1 coordinator with an assistant for 5 hours – from getting ready to first dance. The cost is reasonable considering what we are getting so I think it will be more than worth it.
