What exactly do they do and should everyone have one? I wasn't planning on getting one but I see many you ladies hiring them, just curious if they are really that necessary.

DOC is a Day of coordinator........usually you have about 2-3 meetings with them before your day and then they are there with you coordinating your actual wedding day...............I think its a matter of personal preference, everyone hires them for different reasons
i did hire one just so my family could relax and enjoy the day too! after one meeting with mine FH and i were SOLD!!!
