what part of the wedding do you need the DOC the most? I dont know if I need full day or half day ? I kinda wanna save as much money as possible. Some people say I dont even need one. I just dont want to give my mom or maid of honor any tasks the day of. If anyone has any input I'd appreciate it =)

I would ask the DOC. I'm getting mine for the beginning of the wedding. The reason is we have a very small time gap in between and we need a DOC to move things along at the beginning.
I don't know if you have one already but as a JT bride I highly reccomend Francesca from Dazzling Affairs (their wedding planner)

I have mine from the begining until the end. She also handles the rehersal the day before. I just need someone to keep things on track while everyone is getting ready and to organize the vendors. She will also deal with tips and getting everything at the end of the evening
I've cut in other areas just so i could hire one

thanks girls, yea i was wondering if I could do without but seems liek I need one. im also going to cut in other areas. I dont want to have to worry about anything going wrong. I am meeting with someone soon but didnt know what I should be asking her and what parts of the day are the most hectic because they have half day packages

I would have to say the beginning of the day. Not really while you're getting ready but I would say definitely at the RH to make sure the CPs look right when they show up, that they correctly set up your place cards, table numbers, the linens are right... all the stuff that you want to be perfect but that you don't have the time to check on yourself.

I agree with this. My DOC won't be there for me when I'm getting ready at my house. But we will see her at the RH, she'll help setup everything and capture our vision.

we used Gina from Bleu Diamond Events as a half day DOC. She came for the ceremony/reception (since it was all at the RH) and it was perfect having ehr there. She tookc are of setting details up, making sure everyone was where they needed to be, payment of vendors and just made sure things went smoothly! I would say have your DOC for the reception part of the day for sure! Check out Bleu Diamond..they are fabulous!

I had my DOC with me from 2:30 to 9:00; she was a HUGE help prior and during the ceremony as well as at the beginning of the reception. She got my girls together (even sewed up one of their broken zippers) and she even was nice enough to put my candy buffet together.
