Soooo... I have been debating on looking into a DOC. I am pretty Type A, and know that I'd fret and worry over the little things on the day of our wedding. I'd like to have a coordinator, but then another part of me is saying it's frivolous and silly.
So. Should I? Why? Why not? If so, who? Is $500 a realistic budget? Even less perhaps?

From what I hear its great to have a DOC. They help out a lot. Esp if you have any diy things. You can basically tell this one person exactly how you want everything and they coordinate with everyone else. The only one I know is JZ Event Planning. I can´t afford an event coordinator but I´m using her as my officiant (she does that too). Shes cool and down to earth. If you want her info let me know.
(and yes $500 is realistic, at least for her I know it´s a little under that and if i´m not mistaken I´ve seen other quotes on here close to that as well.)

Check out Ryan from Above and Beyond events. She charges 550 I believe. I got it for 450 because she was running a special at that time.
I would suggest it. It's nice to have someone to deal with all the bs so you dont have to. She is with you from the BEGINNING of the day... not just at the reception like a bridal attendant. And they usually get more involved with things than bridal attendants do.
they will go places before you get there to make sure they are perfect and they will even set things up for you. They really do A LOT!!!!

I booked Gina from Bleu Diamond Events.
I wasnt sure if I wanted one but I figured that I should go on a consult and talk to her, see what they do/offer first hand and if i liked them or think i want/need their services..
and i like Gina and her assistant that are booked with me.

OK ALL I HAVE TO SAY IS YES..I BOOKED WITH GINA FROM BLEU DIAMOND EVENTS SHE IS THE BEST..SHE TOOK ALL THE STRESS OF PLANNING A WEDDING OFF OF MY SHOULDERS SHE FOUND ME MY PHOTOGRAPHER WHICH POINT IN CASE I SAW 15 SHE FOUND ME MY VIDEOGRAPHER AS WELL. SHE IS ALWAYS THERE WITH AN OPEN EAR ANY QUESTIONS SHE ANSWERS I CANNOT SAY HOW PLEASED I AM WITH HER SHES THE BEST POINT IN CASE AGAIN ITS 1230 PM ON A SUNDAY NIGHT IM ON THIS COMPUTER AS WELL AS FACEBOOK SHES A FRIEND OF MINE ON IT I HAD A QUESTION SHE HAD NO PROBLEM ANSWERING AND TALKING FOR A BIT...TRUST ME IF YOU HAVE ANY DOUBTS AFTER GOING WITH GINA I PROMISE YOU YOU WONT
