DOC- Yay or Nay?

I've been going back and forth on this one.

Are they really necessary? I know it would be nice to have to keep my sanity together, but FH wants to know a good reason I want to add another $1000 onto the budget

please recommend yours if you've booked with one.

i personally would not get one because that is what I have BMs for and my RH. As long as you are organized and have everything laid out for people the day of the wedding to know what all vendors plans are and there #s you should be fine.

Im anal as it is so I could not rely on someone else to do the job that I am perfectly capable of doing. *Plus $1k could go to my photobooth!!!!

I would say YAY all the way!!!! My DOC has been nothing less than AMAZING from day 1. This whole wedding experience wouldnt be the same without her. Im using cindy for cynthia ross affairs. Contact her and I swear you would NOT regret it! Something always goes wrong the day of, and having someone there is worth every penny! (you won't spend $1000 though) ... contact her ... you'll see!

definitely get one. especially if you're not having your ceremony at your RH or doing photos before your ceremony. don't you want someone to coordinate all that? why put that stress on your BMs or parents? all the money you're spending on your wedding, my DOC was in the $500-600 range for my wedding date and she gives an LIW discount - Ryan from Above and Beyond. She's wonderful!

we're going to have 4 hours of photos and a church ceremony before we even get close to our RH, so for me personally i thought it was necessary. everyone has a different opinion though.

i also almost booked with cindy from cynthia ross affairs but ultimately went with ryan because she had a little more experience.

For me, its DEFINETLY a YAY! are they really necessary? probably not, but I don't want to worry about anything that day so having someone there to take on all the problems that may arise or issues that may go down is worth the money to me!

ETA: A Modern Day Affair is who i'm booked with. They also just recently became a vendor on here!

I booked with Chrissi from Fairy Tale Events and she is awesome.
All DOC's are not $1000 .. Give Chrissi a call she is very reasonably priced!

Me too! I love her! Shes been SO helpful so far and I still have 6 months to go...so glad I booked her

My DOC is one of my favorite vendors. I get stressed out very easily. I'm stressed about my wedding now and it's 313 days away I'm happy to have someone that can alleviate any stress on the day of my wedding.
