Doctor invite wording......

Is it:

Dr. and Mrs. ______________ or

Dr. & Mrs. _______________

in a case where both are docs:

Dr. ______ _________
Dr. ______ _________
OR
Drs. _______ and ________

I'm confused.

HELP???

ok - for the second case where both are Dr.s its defintely:

The Doctors Smith

(I kid you not, i know it looks/sounds weird)

For the first case, I think its:

Dr. and Mrs (NO AMPERSAND: &) or Doctor and Mrs.

I'm positive on the first but can't remember on the second if we spelled out Dr. or not. I think i did as you're NOT supposed to abbreviate anything.
