Just thought I'd post this if any MTB is ever searching info on UTI's in the future.
I had one a few weeks back. I didnt' even know as the symptoms were not 'typical' bladder infection symptoms. Except that I had to pee all the time - but that's nothing new in the world of belly.
They did prescribe me an antibiotic that I had to take every 6 hours- even in the middle of the night, and had to take until they were completely done. I felt great for a few days and then was back at the Dr. yesterday convinced it was back. It's not thank goodness. Turns out my belly is just resting super low on my bladder and there is not much I can do. I also explained to the doctor it feels like my baby is poking it one finger and toe at a time in a frantic manner. She laughed saying this is just the beginning.....if one more person says that.....
Anyway - she suggested a maternity belt to lift the belly from the bladder. And no. We can't push the baby up towards my chest which was my master plan. But as far as the UTI stuff goes - she said to watch for burning during urination, maybe even a touch of blood in the urine and pressure that yields no urination. Otherwise, she said the painful pressure and urgency to pee is again....just the beginning. HTH anybody inquiring!
