I get very red cheeks when I drink - does anyone know of any makeup to cover up my cheeks so I won't look red in them? And recently I've been getting red, rashy skin so I think it's rosecea

Thanks

I get red cheeks after a sip of a drink. EVERYONE can tell when I've had a drink and it's been happeinig as long as I can remember so I don't even know what to blame it on. I also get really HOT when I drink. I just deal with it. I do think there is some kind of corrective make up! You should call a make-up artist and ask them I'm sure they have dealt with red cheeks before

I think there is this product called Dermablend that is supposed to cover like anything, and isn't detectable. Then again, that's just what I've heard......never have used it personally.

April302005 - that is so funny! I feel the same way....I could just look the wrong way at a bottle of wine and I can feel my cheeks getting flushed!

Dermablend - that's right - I remember somebody sending a post on that - thank you!!!!!!!!

That happens to me all of the time...even with a sip of wine! I never found a way to make it look less red!

My FSIL gets the red cheeks...No matter what makeup they put on her the day she got married, by reception time, her cheeks were red!!

Clinique is coming out with a product that reduces temporary skin redness. It's not a concealer, but a treatment. It's made for people who get red due to drinking or waxing or peels, etc.
It's from their new CX line. I think it's exactly what you are looking for.

Clinique CX

Is dermablend or the Clinique stuff for sensitive skin, I'm afraid that I'd break out from it since I have sensitive skin.

Dermablend is very thick and heavy. I've used it to cover my tatoo. It seems like it would be too heavy for sensitive skin.

I've tested the clinique a while ago and I remember it being more of a serum than a cream. It's hypoallergenic so I don't think it should make you breakout.
I don't get any redness, so I honestly can't tell you if it works. I get to check out a lot of beauty products for work, so that's why I know about it, but I never used it.

from drinking alcohol or just drinks?

if its from drinking alcohol, you could skip it for the wedding, i doubt you'll miss it with everything else going on

I recommend that you visit a dermatologist and get it checked out. I don't get red cheeks when I drink, but I did occasionally have pink cheeks and slight acne/whiteheads in the temple and forehead area and didn't know it was rosacea until the dermatologist told me I had it. The doctor prescribed a facial wash and cream that I use everyday and my skin looks absolutely smooth and glowing. My skin is sensitive now and I have wear sunscreen everyday.

I have roseacea too. But I have it on my nose, it gets red all the time. When I drink, when I'm cold, when I hot....

I have no medical insurance right now, so meds/doctor visits are out. So far I use a a concealer with a green tint to cancel out the red and then put my foundation on over it. It's not a perfect fix, but it does help and I get really red (like a bad sunburn).
