ever get more stressed when u see what other girls are doing?? dont get me wrong i LOVE the help and adivice and its making my planning much smoother but there are things i NEVER would have thought of or stressed over!
i didnt plan on doing e-pics but now i see the table numbers with pics and i love them but i dont think i can afford it since i already chose my package! also, does everyone do monogrammed aisle runners, bathroom baskets, slipper baskets??? lol i dont know where to begin or how to do these things??

You dont have to do all of these things its all in what you want! I think Fox Hollow has the Bathroom baskets already anyway! (Ask make sure). Slipper baskets are not a neccessity its just an added perk for your guests. Pick & choose what you want & dont stress over it. You do it at your own pace!

I have to say there are things that I want but, know I cant afford. So I am doing some not all. No slipper basket, no aisle runner.....to me they are a waste, nice touch but, I need my money used elsewhere. As far as table numbers you can use any pics you want, you can do names of songs for your tables instead or if you have pets you can use their pics to incorporate them into the day. Dont feel like you have to do things cause others are do what you want/like for your wedding. HTH

I totally know how you feel, but then I breathe and say, You know what..I will just take what reflects FH and I and do THAT!!
I made slipper basket btw. The whole thing is going to cost me about $60!! I bought 25 pairs of slippers at $1.50 each at a store right by my house PLUS I ordered the organza bags for like $10 and I am just going to make the cards myself, so you can totally do it too!!
Don't stress though!!! You will have a FABULOUS wedding regardless!!
p.s.--you should ask your photog if they would consider throwing in some free e-pics!! Most photogs do so you can get familiar with one another!! Throw a tantrum too if you have too!

im not gonna do the monogrammed aisle runner . i love the idea of pics for the table numbers, im getting a photog for my e-party for 300 bucks so ill try to get a bunch of good pics that maybe i can use lol

Lol, don't feel bad, I feel the exact same way sometimes!
I wish I had the time and/or money to make slipper baskets or paint my own aisle runner but I just really don't see that happening.

I feel the same way sometiems!! FH tells me that it's one reason he wishes I didn't go on here as much as I do...But, I also like the other ideas. I see if i can somehow work it into my budget...some I can't...oterhs are saving me money cuz I learn how to do it myself.

My photographer threw in a free engagement shoot, and in all honesty, we did it, and got the pic we used at the e-party, our friend did formal christmas shots of us as an engagement gift.
My friend did a slipper basket, and she got hers for $0.50 per pair, I'm going to get the name of the place and I'll let you know.
We're doing the bathroom basket, but don't stress about it, you don't HAVE to follow the crowd and do what everyone does, you do what's good for you and fh and your wedding will reflect your personality and your happiness!!!

if i were you i would deff. just use great pics from your e-party. Go outside or somewhere to take some pics alone b/c you're already hiring him..why hire another and pay again....unfortunately my photog. didn't throw in e-pics so instead we just took our own at a winery to use for table numbers haha...oh well not professional, but I doubt anyone at my wedding will criticize me for it

I think we all see something on here from time to time that we want to add to our own wedding..there are so many great ideas floating around and of couse all the personal touches just make the wedding better..but you have to be realisitic about it. Maybe set a price amount that you are comfortable with for just 'the extras'..then deceide what is more important to have at your wedding..bathroom basket, candy bar, petal cones..etc... that way you don't go overboard..because although the little touches are great..they really aren't necessary!

This site can make you 'think' that you need all those things, but in reality your wedding will be amazing even if you do not do all those things. If someone has the money and the patience to do all those things, then more power to them.
When I first started on here I 'needed' the personalized cry packs, slipper basket, bathroom basket, etc. and when I really thought about it and looked over my budget, I realized they were not a necessity. If it turns out I have the money and the time I may do the slipper basket and bathroom basket but I learned I do not 'need' them anymore.
Ive never been to a wedding where the guests raved about the aisle runner or cry packs. I would rather them rave about the food and most importantly, me and how beautiful I look

i don't feel 'stressed' necessarily, but i know what you mean. every time i see some cute new extra someone's doing, i want it too, and it just keeps tacking onto my budget until i bring myself back to earth.
i'm not doing slipper baskets or an aisle runner. bathroom baskets are a maybe depending on $$ and time. my e-pics came w/ my package; otherwise, we wouldn't have done them.

I gotta tell you- when I joined this site, my eyes opened up and I was like 'Wow- they have petal cones????????' There were so many things I have never heard of. At first I was stressed and thought I had to do those things but then I sat back and asked myself what I wanted and felt a bit better.

The first day I even looked on here I ran to my mom and was like OMG I need to find a RH...they are going to be all booked. I ran out and looked at 6 in one day. FH and I have not really planned much since because of finishing school. Everyone works on their on pace and it will all get done. I find things on here that I would have never thought about if I wasn't a part of the site.

oh, just do the things you want! And most of the stuff you mentioned is DIY. The pics dont have to be pro e-pics. Take some nice ones of you and FH and then cute them up and put them in the tables frames, cardboxes, runners and all that stuff can be DIY .... less stress (sort of! lol)
