This thing on PBS last night about sweat shops in Bangaladesh got me looking through my closets & drawers ... so far, not a single thing.
Edit that! A skirt I bought at Sears ...

YES!!! I have MAJOR issues with this! My father used to be in the garment industry (something that is virtually non-existent in this country anymore), so I have been conditioned my entire life to check the labels and buy clothes made in USA. It's VERY difficult...But I do try... There are certain countries that I will absolutely NOT buy an item if it was made there...

See this is what had me more angry too. I mean, yes, the conditions & the treatment in these places are AWFUL. But I'm more pissed about all the lost opporunities here ...

I think I do. I remember at one point I looked for things made in the US and then I realized I would be walking around half naked if I shopped that way.
I think some Levi's are made here and some other jeans. Some T shirts and sweatshirts are also made here.

I just went to the LLBean website and it looks like a lot of the Polartec fleece is made here. It is made by Malden Mills and I think that is in USA

It's possible that American based companies outsource to foreign countries for their 'help'...
I was quite disappointed when I bought my THOMASVILLE bedroom set and found that it was stamped MADE IN CHINA.

The website's description of the items says USA and imported, so I guess some things are made here and some overseas. Some items only say imported, but the fleeces say USA and imported.

Does my Dooney & Bourke stuff count?
All made right here in E. Norwalk CT!
Lately the shops I've been frequenting is Casaul Corner, Bloomies and Nordstrom. I doubt much is 'Made in the USA'
I'll double check when I get home.
