Does anyone do stamping???

Does anyone do stamping???

I went to a stampin up GTG at a friends, and ended up spending $50 for a stamp kit. I had a lot of fun that day, but I'm not sure if I'll actually use the stuff I bought. I would like to start a project, but don't really know where to begin. I have some stamps, ink and colored pencils but I don't have card stock! I think I have to make some stampin friends

I've collected stamps for several years, though I confess I don't do a lot of stamping. I've just bought some embossing powders. Kelly was talking about having a Stampin Up party and I'm hoping to check out what they have - I've seen some I like in stamp magazines.

What I really want to do is learn how to color in the images - no mater what I do, the lines always seem to smear, or the colors are weak. Did they show you how to do that at the S.U. party you attended?

Check out Michaels or a local scrapbook store for paper to make cards. You can stamp on gift bags for birthday presents or plain wrapping paper. There is a lot to do with them. Although, I can't really see spending 'X' dollars on a stamp. How many times can you use it in one scrapbook book?

You can get card stock at Michaels or maybe the Rag Shop in College Point (it's on 14th Avenue & 132nd street - there abouts).

My scrapping instructor showed us lots of great things to do with them - cards, gift tags, candle decoration, gift bags, etc. THey are pretty versatile:D

My scrapping instructor..... It sounds kind of like saying 'my personal trainer...' like you have a weekly session with your scrapping instructor - I like that idea!

I actually don't even scrapbook, I just bought the stamps because the demonstration was fun, and easy. So, I intend to use the stamps for tags, cards, etc. for now. I just went to Target and bought card stock. I can tell this is going to get very addictive and expensive!

There is a great store in Huntington that sells all stamps and inks and things. They have tons of classes too. I haven't done any yet but I want to! It's on New York Ave. but I can't remember the name.
