I was really artistic when I was younger and then I stopped. Lately I have been drawing portraits of my dog using colored pencils. It is really relaxing for me. I want to try to do a painting but I don't know where to begin... like what kind of paint to use?
I love drawing, but I can't paint for my life. Your drwaing is great! Keep it up.
I agree with you, it is very relaxng. I actually keep a drawing journal in my car.

Re: Does anyone draw or paint?
I do. What type of paint do you want to try, watercolors? oil? tempra? Go to an art store and walk around to see what interests you. I would suggest watercolors to start out with. Very free and fuild. Colors can be mixed very easy. Just plain fun to use. They come in tubes or trays. Get good quality brushes- if you take care of them they last a lifetime. You will need some sort of mixing plate. Also, a water container and watercolor paper. FM me if you need more advice. Have fun!

Thats a nice drawing you did!!!
I was an art major in college but havent really done much since I graduated becasue im always so busy Ive been trying to get back into it though. You can use any kind of paint to draw animals. Just experiment with different things and see what you like. I personally like gouache which is just a thicker watercolor. Its not as transparent.
