dread the thought of registering? I have no desire to do it... I'm a minimalist so I don't feel like I need anything that I don't already have... And I'm not going to get excited over pots and pans... I just don't even know what to register for, what I would even want, or where I even want to go lol.

Re: Does anyone else...
DH and I actually had fun doing it. Usually on saturday's during the day we like to go run errands, go shopping, go out for lunch so thought it'd be perfect for saturday afternoons. DH had fun with the scanner and running around the store scanning half the stuff lol. But we would make a day out of it and then after find a place nearby to have lunch at after.

Thats a good idea... I'm going to try and make it fun... Its just going to be really hard for me to do because I barely know how to cook so I don't know how i'm going to know what I'm gonna need in that dept in the future lol

most of the stores will have a registry list and give it to you. Its broken into categories such as kitchenware, serving sets, glasses, bedding and so on. It will have everything possible on there that you can get. Or do what we did, just go through every single aisle and see what you like. You wont even have to think about what you will need bc as youre going around the whole store you will see things you didnt even think about it.

Oh... Thats soo good to know! I had no idea they give you a list. I really really will need that. I already feel so much less overwhelmed by it lol.

yeah dont even stress about it, they will help you with everything. Or like i said, just go through the whole store. I saw things i didnt even think about or didnt know existed, i would be walking by and saying oh didnt think about this and then scan it. Once youre there you'll understand and feel better.

Re: Does anyone else...
We had fun at one of the places, but at the other I wanted to blow my brains out I pretty much revamped both of the registries online anyway. FH & I have lived together FOREVER so we really don't need much. I ended up just going thru a registry checklist and put stuff on there to replace some of our old things. Maybe focus on stuff that you love - ie. I love to cook so a lot of the stuff I have on there are cooking implements.

The only reason it'd really be a bit too early for a 2010'er would be with regards to discontinuations as you mentioned, or if the company has issues (not likely). But you can go ahead and do it as long as you keep up with the items (sooo easy to do if you can access the registry online). HTH
