Does anyone else...

have a job where they can't call in sick unless they are dying or hospitalized???

ughhh, ive been so sick the past 3 days andddd I have no choice but to go to work

I can't hear out of my left ear, sore throat and coughing up a lung....and they expect me to take care of patients who are dragging themselves and/or their kids to the ER with the same complaints?? ugghhhh!

Are you a nurse?

I personally wouldn't want to see a nurse in the ER who was crazy sick...

what if you got a dr's note... or maybe someone can see you at work and give you something? At least you might feel a little better a little faster..

I'm sorry you don't feel well, I hope your shift goes quickly!

I'm a PA...

and I agree, I feel gross taking care of patients, while im sniffling, can barely talk and coughing on them!

i have to work 6pm-630 am

my boss said I can leave early if its not busy

its friday night, of course its going to be busy

hmmm - i don't know - for auditors, our busy season is from January - April and barely anybody calls out. but it's funny cuz once busy season's over, ppl are all the sudden 'sick'

but i hope you feel better and that they let you take at least a day off!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ME i work in accounting and i ALWAYS get sick around the time when we're closing the prior months books-I CAN'T take those days off b/c of deadlines etc. It's so annoying!!

LOL!!!! I was just saying that-i have days that i CAN NOT take off-so i usually try to take advantage of the slow periods and 'get sick' then!

Just s u c k s that i have to go in when i'm miserable and really not feeling well
